Cairns Photo Gallery

Cairns was one of the real highlights of my Australia and New Zealand tour. This album brings together the photos taken during my time in the city and out on the Great Barrier Reef, some captured by me, many kindly shared by the wonderful people I travelled with. From the early‑morning views at the hotel and the bustle of Cairns Port to the catamaran ride, the floating pontoon, and the unforgettable moments above and below the water, every part of the day felt special. Whether it was pulling on a stinger suit, chatting with fellow travellers, or taking in the reef from a helicopter, these images remind me just how unique this place is.

These Cairns photos capture one of the most memorable parts of my Australia tour, the place where I finally ticked swimming on the Great Barrier Reef off my bucket list. The gallery reflects the whole experience: the tropical light, the reef colours, and the relaxed feel of Cairns itself. You’ll also spot moments from my birthday celebrations, shared with new friends I met along the way, Nic, Colleen, Rispa and Debbie, who helped make the trip even more special.
