Kuranda turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of my time in Queensland. The fact it happened on my birthday made it even better. This gallery captures the full journey: the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway with its old carriages, tunnels, waterfalls and dramatic gorges, followed by the Skyrail gliding silently above the rainforest canopy. From boardwalk stops to sweeping views over the Wet Tropics, every moment offered something worth photographing.
