Location: Mediterranean Sea, Italy, France, Spain and Morocco
Summary: This week was spent on holiday aboard the MSC Lirica, sailing around the Mediterranean and visiting ports in Italy, France, Spain and Morocco, including my first-ever steps on the African continent.
Monday, 27th February
Today, I arrived in Genoa, Italy. I took a coach and walking tour around the city, enjoying the sights and getting my first taste of this yearโs cruise adventure.
Tuesday, 28th February
Today, the MSC Lirica arrived in Marseille, France. I spent the day on board ship and managed to get aromm upgrade.
Wednesday, 1st March
Today, the ship arrived in Barcelona, Spain. Unfortunately, my planned tour to Montserrat was cancelled, so I stayed onboard in port and enjoyed a quieter day instead.
Thursday, 2nd March
Today was another day at sea as the ship cruised south past Gibraltar and towards Morocco. It was a relaxing day spent enjoying the ship and watching the world go by.
Friday, 3rd March
Today, I arrived in Tangier, Morocco. It was my first time in Tangier and my first time on the African continent. I was not disappointed, it was a beautiful and fascinating place to visit.
Saturday, 4th March
Today, I visited Casablanca, a destination that has been on my bucket list for a long time. It was exciting finally to see the city for myself.
Sunday, 5th March
Today, we arrived in Ceuta, a place I had never heard of before this trip. I enjoyed it far more than expected and would love to visit again in the future.
