Photographs, Los Alcazares Cultural Tour.
These photos were all taken on the short Cultural Tour of Los Alcazares that I took in May 2022.

This artificial grass lettering spelling out the name of the town is in front of the Los Alcazares Town Hall. It is where I got on the short tour of Los Alcazares.

Just as the tour I was on was about to start, many bicycles came swarming down the road, spreading out across both sides of the road & hemming in a car trying to safely manoeuvre down the road. I believe that bicycles have as much right to use the road as cars, horses or any other sort of transport, but these people give every cyclist a bad reputation & are why a lot of people are fed up with the way they take over roads.

I have walked past this spot in Los Narejos hundreds of times, blissfully unaware of what the fencing surrounded. This Roman bath was found accidentally by workmen. Until they uncovered it there was no recorded history of it being there.

This mine train was used for moving mined ore & is on display in Los Alcazares by the hotel, restaurant & bar that is owned by the miners union. They would come to the area to use the spas & bathe in the Mar Menor.

A former plane from Spains Eagle Patrol which is based in the area. This plane has now been installed on a roundabout to commemorate the base that has been here for many years.

This was something I had seen before in Los Alcazares & wrongly assumed it was an old bunker. It is in fact an old water cooler.

This watchtower was used to signal that raids were being carried out in the area by the Berberiscas pirates & that help was needed.
