Tokyo Photos

Tokyo was the starting point of my whole adventure, busy, bright, loud, and full of energy from the moment I arrived. Nothing went quite to plan on that first day, but once I finally got out into the city, it didn’t take long to feel the excitement of being somewhere completely new.

These photos capture the parts of Tokyo I managed to explore: the streets, the lights, the small details, and the moments in between. It’s a city that never really slows down, and everywhere you look there’s something happening, people rushing past, shops spilling out onto the pavements, and that mix of old and new that makes Tokyo so unique.

This gallery isn’t a full guide to the city, just my own first impressions as I wandered around with a camera after a chaotic arrival. Scroll through and you’ll see Tokyo exactly as I experienced it, fast, colourful, and unforgettable from the very start.

  • Before leaving the hotel for a tour of Tokyo, I had this neatly arranged Japanese breakfast featuring grilled salmon with lemon, steamed rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, seaweed dishes, tempura pieces, fruit, and green tea on a wooden tray.
