Fujiyoshida Photos
We left Tokyo after breakfast and headed toward the Fuji Five Lakes region, and Fujiyoshida was our first real stop of the day. It was the moment the city finally fell away and Japan started to feel quieter, greener, and a little more traditional again. The town sits right at the foot of Mount Fuji, and even when the mountain hides behind clouds, you can still feel its presence everywhere.
These photos capture the small details from that visit, the streets, the views, the little corners that caught my eye as we walked. Nothing dramatic, just the calm shift from Tokyo’s energy to the slower pace around Fuji. It was one of those places where you don’t need to do much; you just look around and take it in.
Scroll through the gallery and you’ll see the first hints of the landscape that shaped the rest of the day’s journey toward Fuji.
