Week 10 of 2025 was mainly wet, and I spent a lot of time at home, keeping dry and warm. My coffee machine was returned, repaired and working again, and Arsenal surrendered any faint hopes they had of winning the Premier League.

Monday 3rd March.

I woke up around 7 am today. I got up and checked my email, did the Wordle puzzle and got some porridge before editing some of my holiday photos.

At around 9:30, I decided to go for a walk to get a coffee at Cafe Prensa. The walk took me about an hour, and I was puffing and spitting like a steam train when I arrived. I sat talking with my friends, and we chatted about the idiot, Donald Dumb, who is running America at the moment. Just after 12, I walked to the Corner bar to meet Martin, and Dave soon joined us. Aria got off her bus from school and made us laugh when she picked up Martins beer. She usually takes a sip and spits it out, saying it is horrible, but today she took a sip, liked it and then took a big gulp before putting it back down. We talked until Dave had to leave, and I asked him to drop me off at Rio Nalon.

After Dave had dropped me off, I went to Rocco's bar for a beer. I chatted with Rachid for a while before moving on to Harry's bar, where I had another beer before deciding to get a Chinese meal on my way home. I walked to the Hong Kong restaurant and ordered enough food for tonight and tomorrow. Storm warnings are being given out, and I don't want to get caught in a storm if I have to go shopping.

When I got home, I ate one of my meals and put the second in the fridge for me to eat tomorrow. This evening, I watched a bit of TV, played some computer games and went to bed around 10 pm.

Tuesday 4th March.

I slept well last night and woke up around 7 am. I got myself some cereal for breakfast before getting ready to go out. At about 9:30, I walked along the main road to Cafe Prensa to meet my friends for coffee. Because of the high winds, it took me about an hour to get there, and I was glad to get there and sit down when I arrived. I sat with Steve and ordered myself a coffee and Tostada. Not long after I had sat down, Steve and Bev arrived and joined us. We sat talking until about 11:15 when we all left.

I planned to get to Pizzeria La Sombre early so that I could get a table and two beers before Martin left home. He has been avoiding using the restaurant for a while, but I prefer the beer, the staff, the prices and the location and was determined to get him back there. When I arrived, it wasn't open, but the man who worked there was cleaning the courtyard and preparing the tables. He saw me waiting, and he cleaned and set out the table that Martin and I always used to sit at so that I could sit down. He then asked if I wanted a beer. I told him I would take two beers. My plan was working. Before Martin left home I was at our regular table with two beers. He would have no choice but to sit down.

Just after 12, Martin walked across the road, and when I waved, he sat down with me. Dave soon joined us, and we enjoyed a chat and a beer. We sat chatting, and it felt like being back in an old, comfy chair. I was glad I had got Martin to go back to La Sombre. Dave left early to take people to the airport, and Martin suggested I ring his wife, Kate, to see if she could give me a lift home. I rang Kate, and she agreed to take me home and show me how to lift the razor sections on my new shaver and clean it.

When Aria arrived, and Martin and I had finished our beers, we walked back to his house, and Kate took me home in her car. She came in and looked at my shaver and very quickly showed me how to lift the heads on the razors. I would never have been able to do it without someone showing me because of my poor eyesight. We found that if I used the point of a fork or a thin screwdriver, it just lifted quickly, and I didn't have to force it. I had broken the previous razor because I had forced it becaused I couldn't see it correctly. Kate left, and I sat in my recliner to watch TV for a while. I ate the second Chinese meal that I bought yesterday and then got ready for football later.

Tonight, I watched the PSV Eindhoven vs Arsenal football match in the Champions League. I was worried Arsenal would get beaten and knocked out of the competition. I needn't have worried. Arsenal won the game 1-7, totally blowing PSV Eindhoven away. They played very well and could have, and maybe should have scored more. They still need to buy an attacker, but this will shut me up for a while and stop me from moaning about their lack of a goalscorer, at least until they play this weekend. I went to bed as soon as the game finished.

Wednesday, 5th March.

I woke up around 6 am, and there were more storm warnings, so I decided to have a quiet day at home. I sat at my computer and began editing photos for my website.

During the day, I built photo album pages and added photos of my trip to India to the following albums on my website.

This evening I watched the PSG vs Liverpool football match on TV. Despite PSG being the better team throughout the game, the Liverpool goalkeeper played brilliantly and kept the score at 0-0. With just a few minutes to go in the game, Arne Slot, the Liverpool manager, substituted Mo Salah and brought on Harvey Elliott. With his first touch of the ball, Elliot swept the ball past the PSG goalkeeper and scored to give Liverpool the win.

Thursday, 6th March.

I woke up late today, and I did not get out of bed till around 7:30 am. I took a shower, did the Wordle puzzle online, put the dishwasher on, got myself some porridge for breakfast and settled down at my computer to work on my website for a couple of hours. The storms were forecast to finish by 3 pm today, and I hoped I would be able to get out to get some food today.

I received a message from Cecotec this morning telling me that they had repaired my coffee machine. I hope it will be returned soon and that they at least tell me when they are bringing it back so that I can make sure I am home.

Sometime around 1:30 pm, I decided to take a bag of rubbish and plastic recycling to the bin. I walked to the bins on the main road and dropped the rubbish in the different bins. I had taken a couple of euros with me, intending to get a coffee on the way home, but my stomach started rumbling, so I went into Dia and bought a pack of rolls. I took them home and made myself a chicken thigh sandwich. It was lovely, and after eating it, I decided to climb under a blanket in my reclining chair and watch some more episodes of Grimm on TV.

I spent the evening watching Grimm and went to bed around 10 pm.

Friday, 7th March.

I woke up around 6:30 today and started to work on my website straight away. I edited lots of photos for the photo albums, and after having a break, I decided to order some new glasses for my morning coffee. I found two large tumbler-type glasses that had an outer layer so that you wouldn't burn your hands when you picked up the hot drink. I ordered them, and because I don't like keeping my coffee beans in the bag, they come in with a peg on them. I ordered two new airtight containers, one to put the coffee beans in and one for sugar.

My neighbour Liz called me this morning to say that she couldn't go to El Corte Ingles today, and we arranged to go on another day. This afternoon, Cecotec delivered my coffee machine, and I soon put it back in my kitchen. It was nice to have my coffee machine back. I missed having a coffee when I got up in the morning.

At lunchtime, I took a break from working on my website and went to El Buen Sabor to get myself something to eat. I bought two meals: a peppered pork dish with chips for lunch and a beef stew for dinner tonight. Both meals only cost €11. When I got home, I ate the pork dish, which was beautiful.

In the afternoon, I continued working on my website and stopped around 8 pm to eat the beef stew I had bought earlier. It was fantastic, and it could become a regular meal for me.

I watched TV and went to bed early.

Saturday 8th March.

When I woke up this morning, I was able to make a coffee with my repaired coffee maker. I stripped the linens from my bed and put some washing in the washing machine. I then went to the Mercadona store on my disability scooter to get some shopping. I did my shopping and got a lot of food but decided not to get fruit and vegetables as I want to try to get it all at the Tuesday market in Los Alcazares when I can.

When I left Mercadona, I realised it was just after 10 am, so I went the short distance to Cafe Prensa for coffee. I sat there talking with my friends for a while before leaving to take my shopping home. My Amazon delivery arrived a couple of hours later, and I was pleased with the new glasses and containers I had bought.

This afternoon and evening, I worked on my website before binge-watching more episodes of Grimm.

Sunday 9th March.

I was awake around 7 am, and I got a coffee before I sat at my computer to work. My neighbour Liz called me to tell me she was feeling better and asked me to go for a coffee at Buena Vista a short time later. I picked up my Kindle and walked along to Buena Vista, ordered coffee, and sat down to read my Kindle until Liz arrived. When Liz arrived, we both ordered another coffee and a tostado and sat chatting for an hour or so.

This afternoon, I worked on my website for a few hours before watching the Manchester United vs Arsenal football match on TV. Arsenal were quickly the better team, but without a striker, they never really looked like scoring. Just before halftime, Manchester United scored a great goal from a free kick, and I decided that rather than watch Arsenal's grim performance, I would turn it off and binge-watch the TV series Grimm instead. I watched one episode and switched back to the football just before it ended. Arsenal had scored to make it 1-1, but Manchester United looked the better team, and I was glad when it ended in a draw. I continued to watch Grimm before going to be around 10 pm.

This week's exercise.

This is the exercise I managed this week. In an attempt to lose more weight before I go on holiday next year, I am going to try to get more exercise, but I have to be careful because I usually overdo it and end up hurting my legs more or making my ankle swell. Hopefully, recording my exercise like this will push me to get more exercise but not to do too much too quickly. I have put swimming and cycling on the record sheet, but I don't expect to do much of either before the warmer weather returns.

Walking is measured by steps taken.

Swimming measured by metres swam.

Cycling is measured by metres, and the bike is cycled with electric assistance.
