These are my journal entries for the year 2025.
In week 22 of 2025, I finally received the results of the tests I had taken at the doctor's office and got the all-clear. I performed a significant update to the image formats on my website, which should improve its loading speed.
In week 21 of 2025, I had a few visits to the nurse and one to the blood laboratory. I went out for a meal twice, and I had my new Japanese-style toilet installed.
Week 20 of 2025 began with the sad news that my good friend Pete King had passed away last week. RIP, my friend. We had a blast, and we created many great memories.
In week 19 of 2025, I visited the health clinic three times again. I had to have my leg dressed twice, and one visit for a blood test.
In week 18 of 2025, I visited the nurse three times to have my leg dressed and blood pressure taken. My water heater broke, but luckily for me, a friend installed a new one. Best of all, the sun returned to Los Alcazares, and everywhere looks better when it is warm and sunny.
In week 17 of 2025, I went to the health clinic a couple of times to have my leg dressed and was told I had high blood pressure as well. I will have to have it monitored over the next few weeks.
Week 16 of 2025 began with a visit to the Los Alcazares medical centre. I was in pain all week but managed to get out a couple of times for fresh air, a drink, and a meal.
Week 15 of 2025 began in the Virgen de la Caridad Hospital in Cartagena but finished back in my apartment in Los Alcazares.
Week 14 of 2025 began and ended in the Virgen de la Caridad Hospital in Cartagena. My leg was less swollen, but the ankle pain was only bearable because of the constant feed of pain killing drugs I was fed by drip.
Week 13 of 2025 began started at home with me in agony and ended in agony but in the hospital in the Virgen de la Caridad, Cartagena.
Week 12 of 2025 was a week in which I worked on my computer a lot. I sent my passport off to be renewed, and at the end of the week, I was in agony after turning my ankle.
Week 11 of 2025 was mainly wet. I made three separate visits to the doctor's surgery, one for a regular visit and twice more after I sliced my finger on a mandolin while cutting potatoes.
Week 10 of 2025 was mainly wet, and I spent a lot of time at home, keeping dry and warm. My coffee machine was returned, repaired and working again, and Arsenal surrendered any faint hopes they had of winning the Premier League.
Week 9 of 2025 was spent mainly in Los Alcazares. I slowly got over the jet lag from my travels in the last few weeks, and the new reclining chair I had ordered from El Corte Ingles arrived early, to my great delight.
Week 8 of 2025 started in Varanasi, India and finished over 7800 km away when I got back home to Los Alcazares, Spain.
Week 7 of 2025 started in Jaipur and finished in Varanasi. Along the way, I visited Ranthambore, Agra and Lucknow. I went on a game drive, visited the Abhaneri Stepwells the Taj Mahal and sailed along the river Ganges.
Week 6 of 2025 started with a quiet day at home in Los Alcazares before my adventure in India started with my journey to Madrid, then Heathrow in England and a flight to India. I started my tour in India by visiting places such as New Delhi and Jaipur.
During week 5 of 2025, I had a lot of pain in my knee, which luckily disappeared towards the weekend with the help of painkillers and rest.
Week 4 of 2025 saw me reach the ripe old age of 58. I had a quiet week and toned down the walking a bit to ensure my legs are in good nick for my upcoming holiday. Best of all, my new coffee machine finally arrived.
Week 3 of 2025 was a week in which I spent a lot of time waiting for a delivery that never turned up and one in which I met my friend Gail and her boyfriend, Rob.
Week 2 of 2025 started cold and finished the same way. I managed to get a few jobs done around the house, and most importantly, I managed to get my India e-visa application approved for my holiday in February.
2024 ended cold and dark, with thoughts of people who had departed from this beautiful world we live in. 2025 started with plans for the New Year and thoughts of people we would see again and new people that we would meet.
