I sat at this bench in the woods around the base of Devils Tower in Wyoming. If I lived nearby I would sit at this bench all day reading my Kindle. One of my favourite places in the world.

Brightly coloured pieces of cloth hanging in some trees along the Devil's Tower Trail.
Brightly coloured pieces of cloth hanging in some trees along the Devil's Tower Trail. I didn't know what these were & on asking at the visitor centre I discovered they are prayer cloths. They are physical, symbolic representations of prayers & are put there by American Indians as part of their religious ceremonies.
