Segura River rafting photos.
These photos were all taken when I went rafting on the Segura River in 2018. I went on a coach trip with my friends Angelia & Bernice & spent some time rafting on the Segura River & some time swimming down the Segura River.
This photo was taken just as we were leaving from the start point of our raft trip down the Segura River. I am sitting in the front of the boat on the right of the photo.
This photo shows the raft I am in going down a wider part of the Segura River.
Our boat floats down the Segura River as we narrowly avoid the bamboo reeds & other vegetation growing on the banks of the river.
This is the first small weir that we went over as we paddled down the Segura River. In this photo, I am at the front of the boat on the left.
This is the boat I am in as we go over the larger weir on our journey down the Segura River. Before we went over I had been moved to a different boat to distribute the weight in the boats more safely. In this boat, I can be seen on the left of the boat in the second row.
There is no going back now as we slide down the larger weir on the Segura River.
The front of the boat is just about to hit the water at the bottom of the weir as the back of the boat goes over the top.
The front of the boat hits & dips under the water at the bottom of the weir. My head can just be seen above the bow wave.
The back of the boat hits the water below the weir as the front section & bow start to come back out of the frothing water.
The back of the boat disappears from sight as it goes under the froth at the base of the weir. My head is the only one that can be seen in the boat as the froth hides the boat.
The front of the boat is raised up out of the water as the back sinks below the water very briefly.
The boat comes back up after it has gone over the weir & the boat begins to head towards the beach at the side of the Segura River.
Everybody made it one piece & everyone managed to stay in the boat. We head toward the beach to get some lunch.
