NCL Spirit Officers, take applause, on stage in the ships theatre.
NCL Spirit Officers, take applause, on stage in the ships theatre.

Today was my last full day onboard the NCL Spirit as it sailed towards Vancouver in Canada.

Sailing to Vancouver, Canada.

Today was a lazy day, and after yesterday's walk around the Tongass National Forest, I needed a rest. My legs were aching a lot and were very swollen. After I got up, I took a shower and then went to the ship's spa area for my final acupuncture session. The acupuncturist again worked on me for an hour. He placed over 40 needles in my body at various points and connected the electrotherapy leads to various needles and passed a current through the needles and into my body to help my body treat itself by stimulating its healing powers.

I spent most of the day reading my Kindle, drinking Pina Colada cocktails and looking for quiet places to sit, which onboard the NCL Spirit are hard to find. After having my last meal onboard this evening, I did go to the show at the Stardust Theatre. After the show, the ship's entertainment officers introduced the rest of the ship's officers and many of the crew of the ship.

After the show finished, I went to listen to the last few songs the pianist in the bar above the atrium sang. I had a couple more cocktails and then went back to my cabin for an early night. Before going to sleep, I finished packing my case and put it outside my cabin to be collected overnight by the crew. I made sure I had a change of clothing in my carry-on bag, along with the tablets I needed for my journey home. After the loss of my luggage on the way to Hawaii, I wasn't going to take any chances.
