Week 45 of 2021 started with me in a hospital bed, with a drip in my arms and feet and ended with me back at home in Los Alcázares.
Week 44 of 2021 started with me in bed in my apartment in pain, and ended up with me back in the hospital questioning why I was ever released.
I started week 43 of 2021 with a COVID test before my operation later on in the week.
During week 42 of 2021, I visited the doctor's surgery for blood tests. These caused panic at the hospital for a brief while later in the week.
I started week 41 of 2021 slowly and ended up in a mad rush to get hospital appointments.
Week 40 of 2021 started with an unexpected visitor calling to me from below my balcony.
I started week 39 of 2021 with a visit to the doctor to get the results of my blood test last week.
I started week 38 of 2021 with my morning swim. The sun was back after a few days of clouds and rain. The blue sky always makes me realise how lucky I am to live here in Los Alcázares.

Week 36 of 2021 started with a swim in the Mar Menor.
I started week 35 of 2021 with my morning swim before going to the Chiringuito El Lobo for breakfast.
In week 34 of 2021, I visited a hospital in Cartagena. It went well and now I have to wait for further appointments in around two weeks.
I started week 33 of 2021 feeling a lot better than I had in a long time. Last week's visit to see the gastroenterologist, although not complete, has left me feeling a lot better.
In week 32 of 2021, I went to my health insurance company about getting an appointment to see a gastroenterologist.
In week 31 of 2021, I went to my friends, Bernard and Sheilas for dinner but finished the work in a lot of pain.
At the start of week 30 of 2021, I still felt poorly.
Week 29 of 2021, started very sunny and I hoped it continued that way for a long time.
Week 28 of 2021 was expected to have some very high temperatures and I intended to do even less than I normally did.
I started week 27 of 2021 with no phone, no money, and no Kindle, but lots of hope.
Week 26 of 2021 started well and went downhill quickly. My trust in people was shaken when I was mugged, and restored somewhat by the reaction of friends, neighbours and even people I hardly knew.
In week 25 of 2021, I did lots of swimming, met a few friends and did some shopping on Amazon for friends.
Week 24 of 2021, started with a bright blue sky, birds singing outside my apartment and the sun shining down on the righteous.
Week 23 of 2021 started with a cloudy, overcast sky and light rain again.
In week 22 of 2021, I met with different friends and did some Photoshop training.
In week 21 of 2021, I lost my friend and neighbour Russ Morgan. His favourite saying was 'It's nice to be nice' and he was certainly a nice man. He was always available when I needed any help and kept all his friends laughing with his stories and tales of his adventures in the Dominican Republic last year. RIP Russ, you will be missed.
Week 20 of 2021 started with a bright blue sky, warm and with lots more sun predicted.
Week 19 of 2021 started quietly. I had chocolate pancakes for breakfast before reading my Kindle at the beach.
Week 18 of 2021 started with a walk along the beach to my favourite place for a tostada, La Encarnacion.
In week 17 of 2021, I collected the new electric bike I had ordered from a local bike shop and ventured out on it, my first time on an e-bike.
In week 16 of 2021, I met lots of friends, went to several different bars and ordered a new e-bike for myself.
Week 15 of 2021 started with an overcast sky and rain. I spent a lot of time indoors watching the Masters golf, from Augusta, Georgia, USA.
During week 14 of 2021, I researched new e-bikes and went to a few different bars with my neighbour Russ.
In week 13 of 2021, I got an email from the Arsenal Disabled Supporters Association. They are going to be using a photo of me in one of their huge banners around the Emirates Stadium.
In week 12 of 2021, I got a delivery of homemade sausages from a friend and went out for a drink with my neighbour Russ a few times.
Week 11 of 2021 was an exciting week. I had some new shelves and flower containers put up and I also had an appointment to see a cardiologist in Cartagena.
In week 10 of 2021, I met my friend Jacqueline for coffee and made a visit to see a doctor who put me on a course of antibiotics for an infection in my leg.
In Week 9 of 2021, I did a bit of research on my family tree and did some digital art lessons.
In week 8 of 2021, I did a lot of Photoshop tutorials online and edited some of my artwork and photos.
During week 7 of 2021, I watched the rover Perseverance land on Mars. Being too young to have seen the moon landings, I loved watching this fantastic event.
In week 6 of 2021, I had a new headboard fitted by my friend Reinder, whom I had asked to make me one from old pallets.
In week 5 of 2021, I did Genealogy research and had some new lights fitted in my apartment.
Week 4 of 2021 saw me reach 54 years of age, but due to COVID, I had to wish myself a happy birthday.
In week 3 of 2021, I did a lot of Genealogy research and ordered some sausages from an online butcher.
In week 2 of 2021, Epson collected and repaired my printer. I did a lot of Genealogy research and made some soup.
In week 1 of 2021, I did a lot of genealogy research and welcomed my neighbour Russ back from the Dominican Republic, where he had gone on holiday for Christmas.
