These journals don’t start until week 18 because I hadn’t intended to do them this year, but because I got bored during COVID, I began to write them again.
The older we get, the more sad times we have, and I lost a few friends and members of my family when they passed away in 2022. To balance those sad times out, I had many great times. I went to some musical events and fiestas, and I went on my first-ever cruise.
I think in 2022, when I look back at it, there were more good times than bad times and I hope that my memory will dwell more on the happy times than the sad times.
This week was a strange week. It included several visits to the Doctor, my disability scooter running out of power whilst I was out on it, confirmation of my cabin number for next week's cruise, singing at karaoke in a bar and watching my friend sing at a bar on another night.
This week started wet, but it turned lovely mid-week. I spent a lot of time cataloguing my genealogy records for my research, and using the Lightroom training I did last week to help me do this.
This week was a lot quieter than last week and a lot wetter. I did a lot of online training at home on Adobe Lightroom but did manage to get out to meet some friends I hadn't seen for a few years as well as see Arsenal beat Liverpool to go to the top of the Premier League again.
This week started wet and stormy but got a lot better. I went out for a meal on two different days, went to a wedding and wedding reception on a third day, had time to go to see a friend singing at a local bar on another day and to top it all off Arsenal beat Spurs 3-1.
This week, I spent time with my sister Karen and her other half, Brett. We went swimming each morning and sat feeding the fish as they swam around us in the Mar Menor. It was great to see each other again after not seeing each other for nearly four years.
This week begins quietly and finishes with a grin on my face as my sister comes to visit and Arsenal wins to go back to the top of the Premier League again.
This week began in Albacete before going back to Los Alcázares. I worked on my balcony garden and installed a solar-powered fountain. The big news this week is the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, The Queen is Dead; Long live the King.
This week begins slowly in Los Alcázares, I do some work on my balcony garden and at the end of the week, I take a trip to Albacete to see the group Texas.
This week was a fairly quiet week again. I didn't find out until the end of the week but another very nice man I know passed away this week, RIP Jim you will be missed but not forgotten.
