Europe

These articles and blogs all have a connection to Europe.

  • Valencia, then home.

I got up at around 6:30 am as the people I was with on the cruise were due to meet at the disembarkation point at 7:30 am. I went to a coffee bar & had a cappuccino & some pastries for my breakfast & then went to where I had to wait to be disembarked.

  • View the Miniature Wonderland.

I saw an advert for this Miniature wonderland on Facebook, decided it looked interesting, and added it to my bucket list. It's much better than the old miniature villages I remember being bored by as a kid.

  • VillaReal C vs Arsenal U21´s

My friends Kathy & Tony messaged me & asked if I wanted to go & see the Arsenal U21 team when they played VillaReal C, in San Pedro del Pinatar. As an Arsenal fanatic, I of course jumped at the invitation to go with them.

  • Visit Berlanga De Duero Castle.

I had my computer set up to change images daily using Microsoft Bing images. One morning, the picture showed this marvellous castle. As it is in Spain, there is an excellent chance that I will be able to visit it and take it off of my bucket list.

  • Visit Carcassone.

I think I once went to Carcassonne as a young boy. I think I was there with my mum, dad and sister on a visit on the way back from a family holiday in Spain. But I want to return as an adult and look around.

  • Visit St Govans Chapel.

I saw a photo of St Govans Chapel in Bosherton, Pembrokeshire, Wales, on Facebook and immediately decided to visit it.

  • Visit the Eiffel Tower.

My mum would have told you I have already been to the Eiffel Tower. She was pregnant with me when she visited it in 1966.

  • Visit the Kaleto Fortress.

I saw a picture of the Kaleto Fortress on a computer screen saver and decided it was a place I would add to my bucket list as a place to visit.

  • Visit the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Hope.

I saw the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Hope online and thought it looked like a great place to add to my bucket list.

  • Walking around Madrid.

This morning we took a train into the centre of Madrid, to the Old Town in the 'Puerto del Sol', or 'Gate of the Sun'. We saw two guides who were giving guided tours, the type Paul & I like, they were free & you just gave a tip if you enjoyed the tour.

  • Walking Barcelona.

I got up around 9:00 am, which is late for me; I had a relatively good night's sleep. I went to get breakfast in the hotel restaurant & was immediately unimpressed by the person letting me in.
