The Tatanka Story of the Bison Visitor Centre had a few things to look at on my visit. There were native Indians on hand to tell you their history and give more information about the story of the bison.
I enjoyed my visit to see Tatanka, The Story of The Bison, even though it didn't stop raining in the short time we were there. I was fortunate to meet and listen to one of the young Indians who worked there, talking about the problem of alcoholism amongst Indians. It is true that the American Indians do not handle alcohol well and that a lot of them do have problems with alcohol. He told us of the problems his mother and other close relatives had. I had always thought it was a myth perpetuated by the old cowboy and Indian films.
If you are in the area and have an hour or two to spare, it is well worth a visit.
