In this photo of a mountain in Icy Strait Point, Alaska, you can make out one of the zip lines that you can travel down in an adrenalin-filled journey.
River running through a wooded area in Icy Strait Point, Alaska. I was not lucky enough to see any bears close up, but we were told that when the salmon run up this river, you can watch the bears feeding on them here.
We were not lucky enough to see a bear up close during our bear search, but one of our guides had a rifle with a telescopic sight on it with her. If you look at this photo, you will see that I have drawn a circle around a bear in the distance. The circle is on the horizon line between the two tree trunks. We had to take her word that it was a bear, but it appeared to be moving whatever it was.
Alan Morris sat in a cable car going from the tourist shopping centre back to the ship at Icy Strait Point, Alaska. I was glad about the ride because my legs were hurting, and I couldn't manage the walk.
