Waimea Canyon.
Waimea Canyon, often referred to as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific," is a stunning natural wonder located on the western side of Kaua'i, Hawaii. It is approximately 14 miles long, 1 mile wide, and up to 3,600 feet deep. The canyon was formed by a combination of erosion from the Waimea River and the collapse of a volcano that created Kaua'i. The canyon is known for its vibrant red and green hues, which create a mesmerizing landscape. The colours are due to the weathering of basalt lava flows.
Popular lookout points include Pu'u Hinahina Lookout and Pu'u o Kila Lookout, which provide panoramic views of the canyon and the surrounding landscapes.
