Journal

These blog entries are my journals detailing my everyday life. I make these because I have a poor memory, and these help me to look back at things I have done and the people I have spent time with.

  • Week 34 journal.

This week was spent entirely in Los Alcazares, mainly in my apartment, working on my website. I did get out a couple of times to meet friends for a drink and a chat, but it was a relatively quiet week.

  • Week 34 journal.

In Week 34 of 2024, I finished the course of physiotherapy on my knee. I met my friends Alison and Lottie for dinner and did a lot of work on my computer at home.

  • Week 34.

This week was a fairly quiet week again. I didn't find out until the end of the week but another very nice man I know passed away this week, RIP Jim you will be missed but not forgotten.

  • Week 35 journal.

In Week 35 of 2024, I fell ill with a bug that was doing the rounds. I did manage to go to Cartagena for an appointment at the vaccination centre to learn which vaccinations I needed from my doctor for my trip to Japan.

  • Week 35 journal.

This week was expected to be a quiet one but ended up being a busy week. I ate out a few times and saw some old friends. I bought a big trolley to transport my kayak around, and I revelled in Arsenal's victory over Manchester United.

  • Week 35.

This week begins slowly in Los Alcázares, I do some work on my balcony garden & at the end of the week, I take a trip to Albacete to see the group Texas.

  • Week 36 journal.

This week was quite quiet, but I did catch up with some old friends and collect a trailer to help me move my kayak backwards and forwards to the beach. As long as September stays warm I may now be able to get out on my kayak more often.

  • Week 36 journal.

In Week 36 of 2024, I spent a lot of time at home as I was unwell at the start of the week. By the end of the week I felt much better and went for a drink one day and a meal another night with good friends.

  • Week 36.

This week begins in Albacete before coming back home to Los Alcázares. I do work on my balcony garden & install a solar-powered fountain. The big news this week is the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen is Dead, Long live the King.

  • Week 37 journal.

In Week 37 of 2024, I had several trips to the doctors for blood tests, which left my arms black and blue, and I had dinner with my friend Debbie at the Masala Cottage restaurant in Los Alcazares.

  • Week 37 journal.

This week, I started a diet to lose some weight before I go on my cruise, and I also started to try to walk a bit more so that I can manage to walk around a bit more on some of the planned excursions.

  • Week 37.

This week begins quietly & finishes with a grin on my face as my sister comes to visit & Arsenal wins to go back to the top of the Premier League again.

  • Week 38 journal.

This week was another quiet week. I did a lot of computer work, I got some new reading glasses, watched two very good Arsenal games on the television and went out for breakfast with my friend June one morning.

  • Week 38.

This week I spent time with my sister Karen & her other half Brett. We went swimming each morning & sat feeding the fish as they swam around us in the Mar Menor. It was great to see each other again after not seeing each other for nearly four years.

  • Week 39 journal.

This week, I had to do a lot of work on my website. A piece of software I used malfunctioned, and I had to buy new software and install it on the server.  I also had to spend way too much money buying a new watch and mobile phone, which both broke within a couple of days of each other.

  • Week 39.

This week started wet & stormy but got a lot better. I went out for a meal on two different days, went to a wedding & wedding reception on a third day, had time to go to see a friend singing at a local bar on another day & to top it all off Arsenal beat Spurs 3-1.

  • Week 4 journal.

This week started with me celebrating my 56th birthday. Many doctors told my family that I wouldn't make it to 25 years old, so I would like to say a big "up yours" to them and a big "thank you" to the doctors, nurses, family and friends who made it possible for me to celebrate my 56th

  • Week 4 journal.

During week 4 of 2024, I reached the ripe old age of 57, my baked bean birthday. I was cold most of the week, which is strange because the cold I have had for months has started to go.

  • Week 40 journal.

This week I continued to do lots of work on my photos, adding them to photo albums on my website. I did the important job of renewing my home insurance and got my disability scooter included in it.

  • Week 40.

This week was a lot quieter than last week & a lot wetter. I did a lot of online training at home on Adobe Lightroom but did manage to get out to meet some friends I hadn't seen for a few years as well as see Arsenal beat Liverpool to go to the top of the Premier League again.
