Journal

These blog entries are my journals detailing my everyday life. I make these because I have a poor memory, and these help me to look back at things I have done and the people I have spent time with.

  • Week 14 journal.

The week started slowly. I did a lot of work on my website while feeling under the weather. The weekend was a blur of late deliveries, great meals, great golf and crazy football.

  • Week 14 journal.

During week 14 of 2024, apart from meeting Martin on Monday and getting my reading glasses repaired for nothing, the highlight of my week was watching the two Arsenal games.

  • Week 15 journal.

The week started well when I had my TV mounted on the wall. I did a lot of work on my website and edited many photos. I went to Murcia to see the flower festival and went for dinner on Sunday.

  • Week 15 journal.

Week 15 of 2024 started with my friend's daughter's birthday meal and finished with me stuck to the TV watching golf, football and travel programs in my pyjamas.

  • Week 16 journal.

Week 16 of 2024 started in Los Alcazares and finished with me travelling to Madrid by train and then onwards to Amsterdam, Los Angeles and Honolulu by plane before joining my cruise ship next week.

  • Week 16 journal.

This week was spent mostly working on my computer or sitting and reading my Kindle in the sun. It's great to have the sun back out.

  • Week 17 journal.

In Week 17 of 2024, I joined the NCL Spirit for my cruise around Hawaii and Alaska.

  • Week 17 journal.

The week started slowly and ended with me booking another Mediterranean cruise and a free lightning show over the Mar Menor.

  • Week 18 journal.

Week 18 of 2024 started on the NCL Spirit, sailing across the Pacific Ocean towards Alaska and finished exploring Alaska.

  • Week 18 journal.

The week started with me ordering a new computer table, which was delivered and put together before the end of the week. King Charles III was crowned King of England, and Arsenal was guaranteed 2nd spot in the Premier League when they beat Newcastle.

  • Week 18.

I had not been doing my weekly update this year and had decided to continue it this week. It helps with my memory and gives me something to do when I have my morning coffee.

  • Week 19 journal.

Week 19 of 2024 started in Ketchikan, Alaska and ended in Los Alcazares, Murcia, Spain, after a tiring week and lots of travelling.

  • Week 19 journal.

The week started with the very sad news that my friend Sandra had lost her battle with cancer. She was one in a billion and anyone who met her could call themselves a lucky person to have known her. RIP Sandra, you will be sorely missed.

  • Week 19.

This week begins in the Hotel Selu in Cordoba, Andalucia. I have gone for a short trip there to see the Patio Festival, where many households open up their homes' courtyards to visitors, who can admire their wonderful flower displays.

  • Week 2 journal.

This week was spent mostly indoors with a cold.

  • Week 2 journal.

In week 2 of 2024, I finally started to get over the cold I have had since the beginning of December last year. I spent most of the week at home but did go to see FC Cartagena play football on Sunday.

  • Week 20 journal.

The week started with the delivery of a new combined washing machine and dryer and became a lot more exciting as I set off on a cruise around the Mediterranean on Thursday.

  • Week 20 journal.

During Week 20 of 2024, I mainly stayed around my apartment but got out to meet a few friends in Los Alcazares and went to a market in Torre Pacheco.

  • Week 20.

This week started slowly, but as I felt better it did mean a return to work to catch up with a pile of work that had built up in my absence.

  • Week 21 journal.

In Week 21 of 2024 I flew back to England to see my sister get married.
