The sections in this part of my website all contain additional information about the places that I have visited on my travels around the world. I have included the additional information in these sections and subsections so that my travel blogs do not become bloated by information that not everybody wants to see, but also so that people who want to learn more can read the extra information I have included about the places I have visited.
Kumbh Mela is one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, and it is held in India. This Hindu pilgrimage festival is celebrated every 6 or 12 years, depending on the partial or complete revolution of Jupiter. The festival rotates between four sacred locations: Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad), Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain.
