Bucket List

These articles and blogs all relate to my bucket list. My list of things I want to do or places I want to visit before I die.

  • Camels, Quad bikes and dinner.

Today, I ventured into the desert for a camel ride, quad bike ride and meal with a show. Today was the highlight of my trip. I had a fantastic time.

  • Christ the Redeemer & Sugarloaf mountain.

Today was my third day in Rio de Janeiro & I went on a guided tour to see Christ the Redeemer & Sugarloaf Mountain.

  • Fly the Grand Canyon.

I am in the lucky position to say that I have flown the Grand Canyon on three occasions.

  • Go cliff diving.

Why would anyone want to go cliff diving? I remember seeing Elvis Presley diving off a cliff in one of his films and thinking how cool it would be to have a go.

  • Go whale watching.

I have always been fascinated by the vast Whales I have seen on TV nature programs and the Orca I have seen at SeaWorld in Florida. I had always wanted to see them in their natural habitat and have now

  • Leaning Tower of Piza.

I have always been fascinated by the Leaning Tower of Piza & have always wanted to go there. Recently, more of my friends have visited it & after seeing their photos, I have put it on my bucket list as a place I want to go to before I die.

  • Ride a Segway.

I think the first time I saw a Segway was on television. It was a policeman riding one somewhere, and I thought straight away that I had to have a go.

  • Ride in a hot air balloon.

I had wanted a hot air balloon flight for a long time and received a flight from my mum as a Christmas present in 2003. It was my first time flying in a hot air balloon, but not the last.

  • Ride on the Maid of the Mist.

I went on The Maid of the Mist when I went to America in the 1990s with my friend Alistar Parry. We flew to New York, hired a car and drove through the state of New York to the Canadian and American border, where we stayed on the American side of Niagara

  • Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Today we arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil & left the Costa Favolosa to make our way to Copacabana Beach for our stay there.

  • Scuba dive over the Great Barrier Reef.

I have been scuba diving off the Florida Keys and loved it, but it has been an ambition to go scuba diving on The Great Barrier Reef for as long as I can remember.

  • Swim with Dolphins.

I guess swimming with dolphins would be on most people's bucket lists. I managed to swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove, Sea World in Orlando, Florida, in 2004.

  • View the Miniature Wonderland.

I saw an advert for this Miniature wonderland on Facebook, decided it looked interesting, and added it to my bucket list. It's much better than the old miniature villages I remember being bored by as a kid.

  • Visit Angkor Wat.

Angkor Wat is a temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world.

  • Visit Augusta National Golf Club.

One of the places I have always wanted to visit is the Augusta National Golf Club. I love golf, but I do not want to play golf there. Just walk around the course to soak up the beautiful location.

  • Visit Berlanga De Duero Castle.

I had my computer set up to change images daily using Microsoft Bing images. One morning, the picture showed this marvellous castle. As it is in Spain, there is an excellent chance that I will be able to visit it and take it off of my bucket list.

  • Visit Carcassone.

I think I once went to Carcassonne as a young boy. I think I was there with my mum, dad and sister on a visit on the way back from a family holiday in Spain. But I want to return as an adult and look around.

  • Visit Casablanca, Morocco.

From a young age, I have always loved Humphrey Bogart films and being somewhat of a romantic; I know I hide it well; I have always wanted to visit Casablanca in Morocco.

  • Visit Chichen Itza.

Chichen Itza in Mexico is a place that I have only ever seen on television but is a place that, as soon as I saw it, I thought I had to visit.

  • Visit Hawaii.

Since I was very young and used to watch Magnum PI, starring Tom Selleck, on television, I have wanted to see the Hawaiian islands. Some of my friends have been and they have all
